Emily has been dancing since the age of 5, and teaching since 2012. She has studied contemporary, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, tap, ballet, and pointe with a focus on contemporary and jazz. Emily was a member of Kutztown University Varsity Dance Team as a freshman, as well as West Chester Dance Company. Emily’s collegiate level dance pedagogy, jazz, and modern classes propelled her into the world of choreography, which she has found a love for. 

 

Emily’s choreography has won numerous awards, including the top scoring piece at every competition attended in the 2022 season. She often attends teacher training, master classes, and conventions to further her education as a teacher and choreographer. Emily is also a current member of Labyrinth Dance Company, and has performed for local musicians, as well as traveled internationally to perform her own choreography and others. 

 

Music has always been a driving factor for her, since she grew up playing instruments. She strives to inspire her students to be musical in their movement, with a strong connection to rhythm and timing. Her passion for music drives her to dance and create movement.

 

Emily loves to create a spark of creativity and love for the arts in all of her students in a safe, and welcoming environment!
